Our Projects

The Mid West Sports Federation (MWSF) has evolved well beyond being an advocacy organisation. Since its establishment in 1978, it has acted as an incubator, coordinator and delivery partner for projects that strengthen sport and active recreation across the Mid West.

Since inception in 1978, creating projects for the benefit of the whole sporting community across the Mid West region of Western Australia has been our priority. The volunteer-led organisation has had many wins leading to progress for regional sporting organisations and, in turn, wider communities.

Although these projects are diverse, they all support the same mission:

  • Building stronger sporting clubs
  • Supporting volunteers and administrators
  • Recognising excellence in regional sport
  • Growing participation and inclusion
  • Using sport to strengthen regional communities and the local economy
  • Advocating for investment in sporting infrastructure and opportunities

Taken together, these initiatives show that MWSF is much more than an event organiser. It is a regional development organisation that uses sport as a catalyst for healthier communities, stronger clubs, economic growth and collaboration across the Mid West.
