MWSF Board Member – Heather Brett
A little bit about Heather….
Heather Brett has over 30 years of experience working in education in this region and is currently Head of Campus at the Geraldton Flexible Learning Centre, a Catholic School providing education opportunities to disengaged youth. Prior to this role, she was Coordinator of the Kicking Goals education program with the Clontarf Foundation’s Midwest Academy.
Heather has had an active role in sport in Geraldton, predominantly with football (Aussie Rules) where she has had a lifelong involvement growing up with a strong family connection to a local club. As her own children began to play sport, Heather realised the importance of volunteers to support every role in a variety of sports including netball, soccer, tennis, basketball and football. After many years of volunteering she joined the GNJFL as a delegate board member and served for almost a decade, before being nominated to the MW Regional Football Development Council in 2011 and the GNFL in 2012, where she currently holds the position of Vice President.
Heather is passionate about sport in our community being accessible to all and about opportunities continually being offered for all to engage in.
