2019 Mid West Sports Forum




Mid West sport and active recreation community.... We invite you to join us for the inaugural Mid West Sports Forum in Geraldton on Friday 5 April 2019.

This tailor-made forum will support the role of volunteers in our Mid West community sporting groups and provide insight and opportunity for discussion around creating a positive club culture, increasing participation, attracting and retaining volunteers, securing funding and sponsorship, marketing and sports tourism.

This is a must-attend for all committee members, development officers, administrators, coaches and those involved in the sporting sector in volunteer or paid capacities.


Our Special Guests for this event include:

  • MATT PRIDDIS - Brownlow Medallist and former West Coast Eagles star, Matt will share his insights and personal experiences on 'Building a Winning Culture' in sporting clubs.
  • IAN CRAWFORD - International leadership and influence expert, Ian will give your club the edge as you discover his '7 Steps to High Performing Clubs'.
  • SIMON THUIJS - Communications Strategist and founder of Perth's first LGBTI-friendly hockey club, Simon will help you 'Market like a big brand... on the budget of a little club'.
  • MITCH HARDY - Former Wallaby and current DLGSC Director Regional Services, Mitch will lead proceedings as MC for our inaugural Mid West Sports Forum

Parking - Geraldton Universities Centre (GUC) is located at 33 Onslow Street Geraldton. As you arrive at the venue, please take a left at the roundabout and proceed to the overflow carpark at the back of GUC (gravel carpark). This carpark is located close to Building B, where the event will take place.

* The Geraldton Universities Centre is a non-smoking venue.
